There is a reason cell phones are outlawed in Green Bank, West Virginia, home of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory: even a single cell phone, even from miles away, would blind the radio astronomers there and make it impossible for them to see the stars. Astronomers measure radio waves in units called janskys. A typical star shines at 10 to 100 janskys. The Sun shines at about 500,000 janskys. When you hold a cell phone against your head, you are pumping energy at the rate of about 100,000,000,000,000,000 janskys into your brain.[1]
If we are going to save this planet, we have to be able to think and reason. And we have known since 1975 that microwave radiation damages the brain. In that year, Allan Frey published his ground-breaking article, “Neural function and behavior: defining the relationship.”[2] In a study on rats, he found that low-level microwaves — one hundred times lower than what people’s brains are exposed to from their cell phones today — damage the blood-brain barrier. This is the anatomical barrier that keeps toxic chemicals, bacteria and viruses in your blood from entering your brain. It is also the barrier that maintains the inside of your head at a constant pressure and prevents you from having a stroke.
At least twenty laboratories in many countries confirmed Frey’s work over the years. Finally, in 2003, neurosurgeon Leif Salford, at Lund University in Sweden, proved the obvious: that disrupting the blood-brain barrier causes brain damage. He exposed rats to a cell phone, once for two hours, at very low power, and sacrificed them fifty days later. Two percent of the exposed rats’ brain cells were damaged or destroyed.[3] He later exposed rats to a cell phone, again at very low power, for two hours once a week for a year, and found that they were cognitively impaired.[4]
And in 2020, a study has been published showing that the same thing happens in humans. A team of scientists at Heidelberg University in Germany used MRIs to examine the brains of 48 young adults between the ages of 18 and 30. They found that the more hours per day their subjects habitually spent on their smartphones, the less gray matter they had in their brains and the less brain activity was detected.[5]

I could not disagree more with clearing your weapon. That could be taken as tampering with evidence.
I’m a retired cop and a retired lawyer. It pains me to say this, but DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE other than to call 9-1-1 and say very generically that “I had to use my firearm to defend myself or others.” Refuse to give any specific details of the shooting. This is not go be difficult, but it is in recognition of the psychological impacts of a shooting. Most police unions have negotiated 1-3 day waiting periods after cops are involved in a shooting where they don’t have to give a statement because adrenaline and stress can block memory and distort memory. When the cops get to the scene say “I intend to cooperate fully as soon as I have had a chance to retain an attorney.”
Understand this: NOTHING you say will keep the cops from arresting you if they are out to arrest you. Nor will anything you say keep a prosecutor from prosecuting you if he is out to do so. However, an experienced defense attorney can work with the prosecution to convince them that they really have no case.
Legal defense, even when you do everything right, is very expensive. Get USCCA insurance (or similar) NOW. Every time I put my firearm in my waistband I am at more peace knowing that if the worst case happens I have a gigantic sum of money available to give me top quality legal representation (and they even post my bail).

It’s funny. My wife is a 911 operator for LAPD (25 years on the job) and I have never asked her this question. I asked her and she said self defense shooting calls happen all the time. She said the main thing to relay to the operator is how many suspects and if the perpetrator is injured or dead. She said the ambulance will not show up until the police have cleared the area of threats so it’s very important you stay on the phone with the operator. Don’t run out your house and put the weapon in plain sight. The faster you do this the faster the ambulance can arrive for the suspects or yourself. She said that very often self defense claims are mixed in with domestic issues so more than likely you will be detained so the police can sort everything out. That was her view as a 911 operator. She also said that she would never ask the person to recount their story. The main thing is are you safe are the perpetrators away or is anyone on the floor injured.

SUBJECT: Project SWEEP
Overview
The TSS project SWEEP is being formed 21 March 1972 by order of the Director as a continuation of the successful research conducted under MKSEARCH, Subproject 47. The unexpected generational effects of heightened mentation in offspring of MKSEARCH-47 subjects will be the focus of this study.
1. This multiphase project will consist of the following:
a. Identification of children aged nine to eleven within the United States public school systems who display the characteristics mentioned in Attachment C, utilizing the various methods outlined therein.
b. Analysis of identified subjects via neurological, biochemical, and psychological means. These analyses will be conducted both by qualified agents and contractors from USEL and GKRI. Use of USEL personnel will be for biochemical operations only and will need to be cleared through TOP SECRET.
c. Promotion of subjects ranking ninety-ninth percentile or higher to Project CORDON.
2. The estimated budget of the project is $45,000,000.00, although the cost could rise sharply due to a 15 year program length. A detailed budgetary analysis is included in Attachment A.
