The amazing rip-off scams of “ground wires”

Seems ridiculous.
A thin round wire is not effective at high frequencies. 100k resistor severely limits current drain ability (which they twist into an inverted ‘benefit’, inability to get shocked, but this may also be tempered, see below). Series coil (to keep dirty electricity from contaminating the wire) is paltry and also further limits ability of wire to ‘drain’ high-freq signals.

Wire plugs into house wiring, which further degrades its ability to ‘drain’ high-frequency signals.

If ‘shielding wrap’ contacts the inner wire, ‘shielding’ is defeated. Also, if shield is connected on close side of 100k resistor (which it should be, to maintain claimed safety of 100k resistor), its ability to shield is degraded. If shield is connected to far side of resistor (nearest the outlet), then ‘shield’ effect is improved at the expense of reduced safety claim. Everything is a trade-off. These claimed benefits are so ridiculous that it makes the whole endeavor seem comical and absurd.

On the other hand, “grounding” is no doubt vital. I’ve noticed huge benefits from doing it.

Save your $45 and buy a $125 100-foot roll of 1-inch wide, tin-coated, flattened, braided copper grounding strap. Solder one end to 4-foot long copper grounding rod pounded down into damp soil. This is what I use constantly. It’s not great, but it is worlds better than the rip-off at that link. Don’t worry about safety; it’s a ground wire after all. The 100k resistor in the ripoff wire is not for your protection, but for theirs, so they have a claim of (pretend) safety feature in you also happen to touch an exposed lamp cord or stick your finger in a lamp socket, etc. Attach ground strap to lowest part of copper water pipes that go into earth, or implant your own dedicated ground rod (4 4-foot rods from ebay are like $20).

We don’t ground through our fingertips or toetipe but instead through the flats of our feet. Surface area. High-frequencies are “impeded” by “skin effect” of thin, round wires, and that’s just in the classical theory of electronics. When you consider the far more plausible theories of Non-Einsteinian psyentists such as Eric Dollard, Steinmetz and others, the idea of wires as electron conductors (versus acting as wave guides) comes into doubt; curiously, these better (though suppressed) theories much better explain why a ground plane far far outperforms any ground wires.

Next best would be 3 foot wide sheet of copper, 10 feet long, 7 feet buried down into damp soil (down 3 feet, across 4 feet). Sit or stand on the exposed 3-foot wide by 3-foot long portion, wetted with salt water.
Very best is to put your feet in river or onto wet soil, plus there you also absorb parts of the soil biome.
