The Admiral Morrison who presumably lied about being attacked in the Tonkin Gulf (which war-mongering President Nixon used as reason for beginning the undeclared Vietnam War) was father to Jim Morrison, the self-proclaimed “lizard king” and singer of The Doors, a pinnacle in the anti-war music movement. Talk about Orwellian double-speak in mass culture!
