Monsanto Round-Up. GLYPHOSATE. DEADLY TOXIC.

Everything is killing us. But as long as money makes the rules, nothing will change.
My mom has been avoiding Roundup since the early 90s. She was constantly berated and labeled a “conspiracy theorist.”
If you can’t sue the company if the EPA approves the label, then you should be able to sue the EPA for issuing a harmful label approval. Doing otherwise means there is NO accountability anywhere.
Remember this when the US is angry at Europe for not importing Chicken and beef that are also safe… according to the EPA.
If our government cared about our health and well-being then Roundup would have been banned years ago.
Farmers have been using it as a “drying agent” to be able to harvest Oats and Wheat earlier than just awaiting the crop to mature and dry out before harvesting. There are some companies that don’t allow ingredients that have used “chemical drying agents”.
It also ruins soil quality, interfering with the bacteria and rhizomes. I remember a NYT article from decades ago showing the poor root quality of even the crops.
My brother-in-law used round up as a land scaper. He died from glioblastoma at 42.
15 years ago I saw Roundup for the first time. The potato farmer, part time janitor, who was mixing it was sloshing concentrate about inside our wood floor workshop. I commented on it, but he countered “At the class we took they said you can drink the stuff, it’s just as safe as water”.
My friend’s grandfather used Roundup every day at his job in city maintenance. He died at 54 riddled with cancer.
The problem with Roundup was indeed that it was marketed as being “safe”. Consequently when I was working at a country as their horticulturist I spent nearly 10 years bathing in the stuff. Unsurprisingly despite not having any other metrics that made me vulnerable, I was eventually diagnosed with estrogen positive breast cancer. It’s been resolved sort of, but the radiation treatments left me with permanent lung damage. God bless America
You know… There is also that massive mystery on why auto immune issues are so prevelant in developed countries. Its very curious
Thank you for talking about this again. Monsanto is one of the worst companies in the world, and everybody needs to know about it.
I can’t believe so much of this only came out in 2015 — I remember much of these allegations from a dialogue event at my undergraduate university back in 2005, and the chemicals in RoundUp was all part of the larger conversation about concerns about monocultures and of Monsanto’s aggressive litigation against farmers who try to save their seeds or who are “caught” with patented seeds growing anywhere not explicitly licensed to grow them.
Monsanto keeps stacking bodies. Bayer, their buddies, helped them create Zyklon B.
The deactivated human immunodeficiency virus was crisprd into the protein, to lower the human immune response, for Revivicor uas organ transplants.
Monsanto helped create atom bombs, they were part of Manhattan project and become one of the arms of military complex.
One of the many reasons I divorced my husband was because I didn’t like him using round up around the house; so he would blow me off & use it super-early weekend mornings before I actually got up, & would not believe me when I said I could smell that he’s using it. & no matter how much I told him I did not want to breathe poison, he would just try gaslighting me. I know what I smelled.
And it’s still sprayed on most cereal, Quaker oatmeal and Nutrigrain bars, it’s in orange juice and all animals eat it cows horses and pigs
A new era? Companies have been putting profit over safety for 40 years. If you think fining them does anything, you must have been born yesterday.
Sounds like this Pharmaceutical company can make a fortune in cancer drugs too if they have their way
Glyphosate and Paraquat are the only herbicides used in the U.S. the residue resides in the ground and washes down to your water table.
Glyhosate is still everywhere, including being used to treat the rivers and Delta region in California. DWR puts out notices as to when areas are being treated with surface and underwater herbicides. This is above and beyond all the agricultural use in the valleys.
Glypho still legal in state of Maryland. It is often sprayed by the state along every roadway to kill the weed overgrowth. The very discernible brown strips of death are visible everywhere.
It would be nice to see RFK Jr. ban neonicotinoid pesticides.
No person nor company should be above liability
Not only does it cause a myriad of disease in humans, but it definitely has annihilated birds and bees, many other insects, and polluting water. what has been its effects on fish and frogs in Jesus’ name, I stand alone. Amen
There are 350,000 synthetic chemicals on the market, 80% have insufficient saftey data and they don’t study the cocktail effect. And the reason: one it’s hard but that’s not why, you can’t make a better asset manager financial return than if you don’t study them at all.
Glysofate and PFAS have almost made our country un-inhabitable. And we continue to let this happen.
The EPA built its own museum in DC, for $50 million, and gets 4 visitors a month.
My aunt is being treated for NHL. I live in the cornfields and see it being sprayed all the time, even when it’s windy. You can see the fog it creates drift across roads. There’s really no safe areas from it.

IARC concluded in 2015 that Glyphosate is human carcinogen, particularly Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
