IMPORTANT QUOTES FROM ARTICLE —
Dr. Rachel L. Levine, one of President Joe Biden’s top health care nominees, on Wednesday blazed an important trail for the LGBTQ community by becoming the first openly transgender individual to win U.S. Senate confirmation to a federal post.
Quick Facts About Levine
— Education: Harvard College; Tulane School of Medicine
— Past employers: Pennsylvania Department of Health; Penn State College of Medicine; Penn State Hershey Medical Center
— Specialties: Studies of eating disorders, adolescent medicine and psychiatry, and opioid abuse
— Noteworthy: As Pennsylvania’s physician general, Levine signed the first standing order streamlining access by the public and medical professionals to opioid-overdose reversal drug naloxone
On a 52-48 vote, the Senate elevated Levine to the position of assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The position has significant responsibility for managing the coronavirus crisis, and supervises HHS divisions that aim to protect participants in clinical trials, promote good nutrition and curb the spread of infectious diseases.
Biden in January announced the nomination of Levine, at the time Pennsylvania’s health secretary, and hailed her as “a historic and deeply qualified choice” for the HHS post: “Dr. Rachel Levine will bring the steady leadership and essential expertise we need to get people through this pandemic — no matter their zip code, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability,” the president said at the time.
The entire Democratic caucus voted in favor of Levine, as did Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. Wednesday’s vote, while close, wasn’t as narrow as the 50-49 vote last week to confirm California Attorney General Xavier Becerra as HHS secretary.
“At a time when hateful politicians are weaponizing trans lives for their own perceived political gain, Dr. Levine’s confirmation lends focus to the contributions trans people make to our nation and deflates absurd arguments calling for their exclusion,” Annise Parker, head of the LGBTQ Victory Institute, which works to elevate LGBTQ public leaders, said in a Wednesday statement.
Levine’s new post gained an especially high profile last year as then-HHS Assistant Secretary for Health Brett Giroir served as the nation’s testing czar for COVID-19 and became a familiar face of the Trump administration’s pandemic response.
A graduate of Harvard College and the Tulane School of Medicine, Levine trained at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City before moving to Pennsylvania. In the Keystone State, Levine worked at the Penn State College of Medicine before state lawmakers confirmed her to serve as secretary of health. Levine’s areas of professional focus include opioid abuse, eating disorders and adolescent medicine and psychiatry, according to her prepared Senate testimony.

“Absolutely fucking sickening. I am feeling very angry for the past two days. The men in this country need to step and do something. So many of them have guns. Why are they are all twiddling their thumbs as the whole country is set on fire?”

REPSONSE —
Men only truly fight for kin, family, and maybe community. The “country” is too big, is unknown and was already or has been made too diverse (to warrant what essentially amounts to self-sacrifice); meanwhile, we’ve all been subject to insidious preprogramming such as ‘it’s not my fight’, etc. particularly in the “education” about wars.
Witness Their honed technique of ‘divide and conquer’ in every conceivable manner.
I’m open to believing that the people (or perhaps creatures) behind our destruction are experts at it, with long practice over many cycles and civilizations, maybe thousands or more. Alternately, maybe we now really are, somehow, ‘the first’.
French Revolution showed that mass revolt doesn’t happen until after widespread starvation begins…and maybe even that was all twisted…playing us all again in a drawn-out, multi-generational string of cultural and behavioral experiments.
The True Enemy is shadowy, keeps hidden, plays pawns, wields “tools” and golems (such as Levine) it forms and ensconces.
I don’t know a single other man who is at sufficient understanding or development, let alone in agreement with another. Most seem somehow cowed into minding their small plots, in all ways. Every one I’ve tried to reach rebukes, deflects, repulses. No exaggeration. Of the women, only a precious few are able to ‘take in’ the anti-human zeitgeist. Maybe this is why LGBT “tools” and golems are necessary, in clergy and governing office.
Until there is consensus at any level nothing will happen beyond (literally) near-body self-defense.
The badness will only accelerate and worsen. Prepare.

It’s truly depressing. People need to rise up against this. They are organizing huge events in Europe. In the US, nothing. It’s sad and upsetting.
On an up note, I moved [away a while ago] and last weekend got together with [some] people, all of whom were awake. It was a powerful group meeting and made me happy to see so many conscious people coming together to talk about important things. This never happened in [mid-Atlantic area]. Another sad fact. [mid-Atlantic area] is very controlled.

RESPONSE —
This is heartening. I’m glad you were able to escape to a place of broader sanity.
I was EXTREMELY DELIGHTED the other day by a wholly unexpected contact from an old friend, who has in disconnected parallel reached exactly my (our, inclusive of you) same conclusions, sources, etc. I am very excited to make the fresh new contact, which I had felt gloomily certain was forsaken.
The awareness, community and fellowship are critical not just to countering the mounting destruction but also surviving it. Just be careful to maintain your circles ever tighter — Jesuits (or really any religious militant) are expert at infiltration…and poisoning.

Indeed. We have to be very careful. But I’m so happy for you! We do need community to support us.
